Editor's Album Notes:
The Art of Live is a CD and DVD release. The CD version contains a rare live performance of the fan-favorite, "Anybody Listening," which is not found on the DVD (the DVD contains live footage of Queensryche and Dream Theater performing songs together on stage during their 2003 summer tour). The audio quality is clear, however, it is not surprising that the bass is turned up pretty loud, considering Eddie Jackson supervised the album's clean-up and production. These recordings were taken at various shows during Queensr˙che's headline tour supporting "Tribe" in the fall of 2003.
The DVD video quality is unfortunately poor. The release is done in sepia tone, not full color. This was the result of the band's stage lights over powering the recording equipment they had set up throughout the tour. Instead of scrapping the release, they went forward with it, which stirred some controversy due to the initial advertisement. The DVD was also supposed to be a 5.1 audio mix, which was also not done.
