Editor's Album Notes:

Q2k marked the band's first and only appearance on Atlantic Records. It also signified the first release without founding member Chris DeGarmo on guitars and backing vocals. Kelly Gray, formerly of Geoff Tate's former band, Myth, came onboard to play guitar. Q2k is the only studio album to feature Gray. Continuing the trend from 1997's Hear in the Now Frontier release, the music is more stripped down, with a noticeable lack of guitar harmonies, and an emphasis on rhythm and groove. Featured singles included Falling Down, The Right Side of My Mind (a video appeared briefly on VH-1 Classic for this), Breakdown, and Beside You.

In 2006, Queensr˙che re-released Q2k in an expanded and remastered format on Rhino Records. Out of print for a few years, the new version features an absolute gem in the never-before-released tune "Howl." The album also included three other bonus cuts, including "Until There Was You," (also never-before-released), a live version of "Sacred Ground" and the radio edit of "Breakdown."
