Editor's Album Notes:

The Warning marked the band's first full-length studio release. Recorded mostly in London, England, the band started to expand its horizons musically, as Geoff Tate's progressive influences blended with the Iron Maiden and other metal influences from the other band members. This album features one of Queensr˙che's staple anthems, that being the majestic "Take Hold of the Flame."

In addition, the mix of the album is only available in an edited format from the original. As you might have guessed from above, the original track list of the album that the band received and wanted was the second one posted above. Also, the mix that the band received to approve was different, having the guitars more upfront. EMI Records stepped in before The Warning's release, and had a man named Val Garay remix the album, and changed the track order to highlight the first single, "Warning." The album was remastered and re-released in 2003 with three bonus tracks.
