Site Updates
Feb. 20, 2012: I updated and re-wrote the descriptions to all the main band era sections from 1981-2003. I'll be continuing work on the site as time permits. I've got loads of new stuff to upload, but a lack of time to regularly work on it. But it WILL get done. That said, the original lineup history and just how incredible the five members of the "real" Queensryche were together will always live on here and I'll be continuing to wave the flag so people know the true history of the original band.
If you haven't seen it, Queensryche (the original lineup) got a nice segment (primarily focused on Operation: Mindcrime) on VH-1's Metal Evolution documentary by Sam Dunn. He interviews Geoff Tate and Chris DeGarmo (separately). Nice to see the original band get its due as one of the pioneers of progressive heavy metal music.
Aug. 7, 2011: Just a small addition today. Added the set list to the June 1, 1991 show from Detroit, Michigan. Thanks to "Brian" from the discussion forum for the set list! Also replaced the June 2, 1991 ticket stub and added one from the Dec. 7, 1984 gig supporting KISS. Thanks to Kent W. for those scans.
No, the site isn't dead. I apologize for a lack of updates this year, but things have been busy. I really want to re-write some sections, and tweak the Tribe-era material to specifically address the true "original lineup" tracks from that album instead of promoting the entire thing. Chris didn't play on half of Tribe, so half of it really isn't the focus of the site. I'll do my best to get to that in the coming months.
A few people from the discussion forum have said they have new article/review scans from Kerrang magazine. Once I get those, I'll get them online and make some of those text changes I was talking about. Until next time, take care and Take Hold!
Dec. 3, 2010: Today we added photos from both the Dec. 18, 1988 and Nov. 24, 1991 gigs from McNichols Arena in Denver, Colo. All photos appear courtesy of photographer John V., who was gracious enough to donate them and share some stories about his experiences. Thanks John!
Nov. 27, 2010: Tonight we added, or rather had confirmed the proper date for Queensryche's one-off show at Red Rocks Amphitheater in 1989. Thanks to John V., the correct date was Sept. 14, 1989. The show was a short set to get footage of the band performing for the Ford Fairlane music. Click the link above for details. In addition, John V. corrected the Empire tour dates, commenting that it was only a two-night stand in Denver, Colo., on Nov. 24-25, 1991, and not a third show on Nov. 26 as we had originally listed. This has been fixed.
This site is in NO WAY dead. I have stub scans, photos and article scans to get online. Frankly, this year has been mentally draining for me and I didn't have the motivation to update as regularly as I was. But the site will always be online, and I'll be making updates more frequently in 2011, as new information on Queensryche's original lineup is revealed...mostly by you, the site's readers. So if you have something to contribute, please let me know at briman04 AT yahoo.com. Take Hold!
Feb. 1, 2010: Thanks to Wardy, we now have scans of the Dec. 1991 article from Metal Forces now online. Check it out in the 1990-1992 section!
Nov. 22, 2009: Another round of ticket stub scans were added today, 17 in total. Thanks to JP for sending them along. Shows ranged from 1984 opening slots for Dio to QR's headline appearance in Ireland in 1990. So scan through the 1984-1985, 1986-1987, 1988-1989, and that one Empire gig and take a look at the various scans. Take Hold!
This update is dedicated to the memory of David "London" Ascoli, a personal friend and lifelong Queensr˙che fan who passed away on Friday, Nov. 13. Rest in peace.
Sept. 5, 2009: Today we added a new Empire-era article from RIP, courtesy of Wardy. In addition, thanks to the generous donation of photographer Hendrik Attema, we also have some live photos from Queensr˙che's performances on April 29, 1989 and Sept. 1, 1991.
Aug. 13, 2009: A new EP-era tour date has been discovered! Sept. 23, 1983, in Lubbock, Texas! Thanks to JP for pointing it out and also for ticket stubs for the Sept. 14 and Sept. 15, 1983 gigs! Those were added to the individual gig pages as well.
July 9, 2009: Updated the Mindcrime-, Empire-, and Promised Land-era sections today with new article scans, courtesy of long-time contributor "Wardy." Thanks man! Approximately 10 new scans await your reading pleasure, including a Mindcrime-era vocal interview with Geoff Tate! Take Hold!
June 5, 2009: Today we uploaded a ticket scan and advertisement scan for the Nov. 27, 1984 and Nat 8, 1991 shows, respectively. Thanks to JP for the submissions. I also added the set list from Queensr˙che's Feb. 7, 1985 gig in Las Vegas, Nev.
May 21, 2009: Thanks to Mario A., we now have a new tour date to add to the EP tour itinerary - Sept. 18, 1983, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Thanks Mario!
May 10, 2009: Happy Mother's Day out there to all the moms that are Queensr˙che fans reading this update! Today we added a number ot ticket stub scans from the Rage for Order and Building Empires tours. Specifically, new stubs are now online from 1991 gigs in Reno, Nev.; Detroit, Mich.; and Kalamazoo, Mich. In addition, a variety of the Rage for Order show pages where the band was opening for Bon Jovi have also been updated. Enjoy and Take Hold!
April 25, 2009: Received a bunch of new ticket stub, poster, and advertisement scans today, thanks to AnybodyListening.net contributor, "JP." Thanks again! Shows included a date change for the Phoenix headline show on the Rage for Order tour, a new show (Sept. 23) added to QR's support slot on the 1986 Ozzy Osbourne tour, and some various Empire era gigs. Enjoy!
April 13, 2009: Today we slightly tweaked the homepage to include a couple of new link graphics to spruce things up. We also added some color to the main intro tri-ryche graphic. In addition, one other "Easter Egg" page was uploaded. Enjoy!

April 9, 2009: Put some "Easter Egg" pages on the site today. Search around, see if you can find them. You know you hit on the right page if you see this image to the right:
Good luck, and this isn't an "Easter-only" thing. We'll be adding more as time goes on...pages full of interesting tidbits of 'R˙che history and goodies! Here's a hint...all the hidden pages are NOT on the tour date (individual show) pages. So look carefully through all the "era" pages and you should find them (the links to the Easter Egg pages)! ;-)
April 8, 2009: Today we added band member bio pages to AnybodyListening.net. Located directly on the front page, these pages contain a little background on each band member, their roles within Queensr˙che, some photos, and links to additional information on them on the Internet. It should be noted that the link to band member "side projects" has been removed. You'll find the link to each side project previously covered on AnybodyListening.net within these individual band member bio pages.
I'll be working (finally) on some "Easter Egg" pages later this week, right in time for the holiday. What is an "Easter Egg Page?" These pages are hidden (but you can find them) on the Web site and lead to some interesting tidbits about the band, or the history of the members before they became "Queensr˙che." I'll announce here when the first Easter Egg Pages are online. Maybe we'll even have a contest for those who find the most. So stay tuned!
April 7, 2009: Added stub scans for the Aug. 9, 1997 and July 23, 1991 shows to the archive today. In addition, we added an advertisement from Ovation that features Chris DeGarmo and Michael Wilton (along with Nancy Wilson from Heart) to the 1990-1992 section. Enjoy, and take hold!
March 17, 2009: Thanks to JP from France, we added 15 ticket stub scans to the Web site tonight, from The Warning Tour through the Building Empires Tour. Thanks JP! In addition, we discovered a new Rage for Order tour date! Jan. 24, 1987, in Biloxi, Miss. Queensr˙che was opening for RATT.
Additionally, the front page of AnybodyListening.net was slightly adjusted. The icon that led to the discussion forum, The Breakdown Room, was changed to a more comprehensive links page. Take a look!
March 7, 2009: Added a three-page article, from an unknown 1990 issue of a German magazine, today. Special thanks to Tom S. from Germany once again for the submission. To view the article, visit the 1990-1992 "Empire-Era" section of the Web site (it's the last article listed under "article scans").
March 5, 2009: Today we added a ticket stub and venue information for the Nov. 26, 1990 show in Munich, Germany. Special thanks to Tom S. from Germany for writing in and submitting the information and stub scan!
March 1, 2009: Yet another new EP tour date has been discovered, courtesy of Steve Mortlock. This one is Sept. 15, 1983, in Little Rock, Ark. Thanks Steve!
Feb. 12, 2009: A new EP tour date has been discovered, courtesy of Steve Mortlock. The show was on Oct. 17, 1983, in Grand Rapids, Mich., at Top of the Rock. The band opened for Twisted Sister. A concert flyer, photos and some information of the show are now online at the above link. Thanks Steve!
Feb. 2, 2009: Courtesy of Rob Evanoff (thanks Rob!) we now have a ticket stub from the Nov. 17, 1988 show in Chicago, Ill.; and an aftershow pass from the Jul. 12, 1997 show in Tinley Park, Ill.
Jan. 23, 2009: Tonight we uploaded two ticket stubs. One from the Oct. 20, 1994, performance in London and one from the Nov. 25, 1991, show in Denver. Enjoy!
Jan. 19, 2009: Added a bunch of promotional item and article scans to the site today. Specifically, the Mindcrime Era, Empire Era and Tribe Era sections. Thanks to "CirclingPanesofGlass" for his donations to the site!
Jan. 10, 2009: Thanks to Richard G., we now have six photos on display from the Sept. 24, 1983 Queensr˙che show, opening for Quiet Riot. Check 'em out! Thanks Rich!
Jan. 7, 2009: Tonight's update is a brand new tour date from the Rage for Order tour. Oct. 10, 1986, in San Antonio, Texas. Thanks to JP, we now have the date and a ticket stub from this show for the archive.
Jan. 6, 2009: Thanks to "wkiml" from DreamTheaterForums.org, we now have photos from the legendary Feb. 14, 1987 headline show at L'Amour East in New York. Check 'em out! Some classic shots. Thanks wkiml!
Dec. 3, 2008: Tonight we had quite a few pages to update. First was the Nov. 30, 1984 show at L'Amour in NYC. We uploaded five photos from the show. Next were ticket stubs or concert posters for the following gigs:
May 31, 1985
Nov. 15, 1990
Nov. 22, 1990
Sept. 14, 1991
If anyone has any photos, ticket stub scans, or individual gig posters that they can scan and would like to contribute, please e-mail us!. Take Hold!
Dec. 2, 2008: Thanks to "gemini," I added a ticket stub scan to the May 16, 1995 page. The gig was in Tucson, Ariz. In addition, I also re-activated the show pages for the July 27-28, 2001 shows in the Kelly Gray era of the Alternate Lineups section. For some reason, they were not linked. My apologies. Just a reminder, however, that I no longer keep any of the non-original lineup material current.
Nov. 23, 2008: Thanks to "hard2handell," today I added two color photos and a ticket stub scan to the Dec. 6, 1986 show opening for Bon Jovi in Sweden.
Nov. 17, 2008: Tonight I uploaded a ticket stub from the Aug. 3, 1986 show opening for AC/DC. The concert-goer wrote in the supporting act (QR) on the ticket stub.
Nov. 4, 2008: Added a few more stub scans today, including a newly-discovered tour date - Oct. 12, 1983, in Kansas City, opening for Twisted Sister! Stubs uploaded included that show, the Nov. 9, 1991 gig in Charlestown, W.Va., and the Feb. 18, 1985 show opening for KISS in Long Beach, Calif. Thanks again to JP for sending in the scans.
Nov. 2, 2008: Another round of stub scan updates this weekend. Thanks to submissions by JP, there are now ticket stub scans on display from the following shows:
9-17-83
11-28-84
12-14-84
12-17-84
12-18-84
12-29-84
1-17-85
2-14-85
As I mentioned in the last update, I'll be continuing to add stuff to the site as I find new live photos from shows, stub/pass scans, etc., from the original lineup of Queensr˙che If you find anything, please go ahead and send it to me! Take Hold!
Oct. 28, 2008: Tonight I uploaded a few very cool scans I found online. First, the front and back of a backstage pass for the Oct. 9, 1983 show in Reseda, Calif. The next was a VIP pass from Queensr˙che's July 12, 1985 performance in Hollywood, Calif., where they debuted "Neue Regel" live for the first. Finally, I upgraded the ticket stub scan from the May 12, 1989 show in Irvine, Calif.
I'm glad you all liked the front page re-design from last month! I've gotten tons of compliments on it. Thanks! That design will stick for a good long while, as quite honestly, I'm pretty fond of it myself! I'll be continuing, as always, to add stuff to the site as I find new live photos from shows, stub/pass scans, etc. If you find anything, please go ahead and send it to me! Take Hold!
Oct. 6, 2008: Added a couple of concert ticket stubs to the site the past couple of weeks. The two most recent were for the Sept. 17 and Sept. 18, 1991 shows in Dortmond, Germany.
Sept. 20, 2008: Today we re-designed the index/intro page to site. Hope you enjoy the new look. Inspiration for the change comes from none other than Kevin Scurlock, webmaster of GeoffTate.com. Kevin decided to launch a new version of Tate's Web site and I finally got the motivation to update our front page to a new design I had rolling around in my head. Thanks Kevin! Enjoy everyone!
Sept. 9, 2008: AnybodyListening.net is proud to announce the launching of its official Myspace page! Located at www.myspace.com/anybodylistening156, log-on today and add us as a friend!
July 12, 2008: Tonight we added 25 pages of article scans to various sections of the site. Specifically, look for 14 new pages in the 1990-1992 area, 10 article page scans in the 1994-1995 section and one (1) review of Operation: Mindcrime in the 1988-1989 section. Many thanks to Wardy for the scans!
June 15, 2008: Added stub scans/photos to 18 assorted Queensr˙che shows to the tour date archives. Mostly from the Warning and Rage for Order tours. Thanks to JP for the stubs!
June 12, 2008: Claudio E. has submitted a ticket stub and photos from the Dec. 13, 1997 show, which was the last gig Chris DeGarmo played with Queensr˙che. Thanks Claudio!
That said, while a ticket stub exists, these items put into question the validity of the Dec. 12, 1997 show, of which a ticket stub also exists. Since this festival, to my knowledge was a one-day affair, I'm not quite sure the Dec. 12 gig is accurate. But because we have multiple stubs, I am going to leave it up there in the archive.
March 29, 2008: Added a new section to the site today, entitled "Post-2003." This area will chronicle the times Chris DeGarmo and his Queensr˙che bandmates get together to work on music together. If at some point, there is ever a formal reunion, a new section will be created to recognize that.
In addition, I'm slowly starting to work on cleaning up the Side-Solo Projects section and I'm also starting to bounce ideas around regarding the front page of the Web site for a small re-design. Don't worry, the content layout will remain the same, I'm just looking for a new home page design.
Feb. 18, 2008: This evening I updated the site's layout to remove most (hopefully all) the iFrames. This should make the site display better with modern flat screen (and bigger) monitors and also allow for better indexing from search engines.
Jan. 17, 2008: Added a couple of magazine and trade advertisements to the 1984-1985 Era section today.
Dec. 28, 2007: Thanks to "JP," we now have a new EP-era tour date! Oct. 9, 1983 from Reseda, Calif. Look closely at the ticket stub, and you'll see that Queensryche's name was pretty mangled! Also added three more ticket stubs to the tour archive for the following gigs:
Jan. 30, 1985 - San Antonio, Texas
Jan. 31, 1985 - Houston, Texas
Feb. 17, 1985 - Long Beach, Calif.
Dec. 27, 2007: Updated both the 1984-1985 and 1986-1987 era sections today. For the former, I adjusted the existing tour dates to clarify that the band's headline show at Harpo's in Detroit was indeed on Dec. 10, 1984. Thanks to Scott K. for the clarification, and hey, send in those ticket stubs! Speaking of which, I also added a stub from Queensryche's gig on Nov. 30, 1984 at L'Amour in Brooklyn!
In regard to the Rage Tour update, I added a new tour date! Feb. 20, 1987 at L'Amour East. As many of you know, the band closed their east coast Rage Tour dates with a string of shows at the various L'Amour clubs in NYC and Long Island. This was a date we did not have posted. Also added a ticket stub from that show.
Finally, I completely re-wrote the 1998-2001 era history. That's now online. Happy reading!
Nov. 28, 2007: Had another fan who attended the Sept. 20, 1983 Queensr˙che-Quiet Riot show write in with further details and a ticket stub! Thanks Gilbert! In addition, Gilbert also provided a ticket stub from the band's Oct. 6, 1986 gig in Austin, Texas. I also added a photo of Geoff Tate that was part of the "Hit Parader 1997 Geoff Tate Interview" to the 1996-1997 section. Thanks to "Giorno" from The Breakdown Room, this site's discussion forum, for the scan.
Oct. 28, 2007: Listening to Take Cover today (see The Breakdown Room, this site's message board, for the legal pre-release stream of the entire Queensr˙che covers album), I decided to go ahead and upload all that Operation: Mindcrime-era material I mentioned yesterday. Visit the 1988-1989 section for the scans, particularly the "Misc. Scans" and "Band Photos" areas. Enjoy! More updates on the horizon...Take Hold!
Oct. 27, 2007: I added some scans and photos from the 1990-1992 section today. Did the same thing with the 1996-1997 section as well, uploading about 15 advertisements, photos, and other scans.
I still have a host of Operation: Mindcrime-era photos and promotional materials to add to the site, along with some candid photography of Queensr˙che backstage in the early years and during in-store appearances. I'll try to get to that soon.
Oct. 12, 2007: I added some leftover scans I had lying around for the 2002-2003 section tonight. A few promotional posters and a bio on the band from that release. More misc. scans from other eras are coming soon (a lot, actually). I just have to sit down and code all the pages at some point in the next few weeks.
Oct. 7, 2007: Uploaded some new band photos, candid shots, and misc. scans to the 1984-1985, 1986-1987, and 1994-1995 sections today.
Oct. 3, 2007: Thanks to Michael S., a new show has been discovered! Oct. 18, 1986 at the Arco Arena in Sacramento, Calif. This was a headline gig for the band. Added the show info and ticket stub. Thanks Mike!
Sept. 30, 2007: Added a bunch of new ticket stubs from the Building Empires tour today. Thanks to Michael S. for the 11-7-91, 6-5-91, 7-17-91, and 7-19-91 info and scans!
Sept. 27, 2007: Sorry for the long delay in updates. Been a busy month. I added some new navigation to the site. Now when you click on a band era (1981-1983, 1996-1997, etc.), there will be a "site navigation bar" at the top, so you can quickly go back and forth between eras. In addition, the "Side-Solo Projects" and "Alt. Lineups" sections have been retained but slightly moved below the update section.
I have a bunch of scans and candid photos to add to the site in October, so be on the lookout!
Aug. 25, 2007: Thanks once again to J.P., I added a bunch of new ticket stub scans today, mostly to the 1981-1983 and 1984-1985 sections of the site.
In addition, J.P. uncovered the ticket stub from Chris DeGarmo's last show with the band (to date) - Dec. 12, 1997. The 1996-1997 section has been updated accordingly.
Aug. 24, 2007: A small update today. First, thanks to Bruce M., a new tour date was uncovered - Jan. 4, 1985, Twin Lakes, Wis. The show was a headline gig and held at a small bar called The Edgewater. Thanks Bruce!
I also added the Sign of the Times: The Very Best of Queensr˙che release to the 2002-2003 section of the site. I did this because the song "Justified," which will be released next week, was originally written during this time period by Chris DeGarmo for Tribe, but was left incomplete when he left the band again.
It was finished and recorded by Queensr˙che earlier this year, but since I didn't want to start an entire new section of the site for just one song, and the song actually was meant and was written for Tribe, I stuck the info there. In fact, do yourselves all a favor, delete "Losing Myself" out of your i-Pod, and put "Justified" in its place. Then you have a true original lineup Queensr˙che album. ;o)
No, I haven't forgotten about the promotional scans I mentioned in my last update. I have them, it's just been really busy and I haven't gotten to uploading them (hey, it takes a long time to code things piece by piece). I'll get to it soon.
Aug. 4, 2007: I added a ton of promotional advertisement scans and band photos to the site today. Take a look in all sections from 1981 through 1997 for the new additions.
I've got a ton more to add, including some candid backstage photos from the mid-1980s and various other promotional item scans, etc. I'll be getting to that stuff later this month. Stay tuned, and Take Hold!
July 21, 2007: Uploaded a new tour date to the 1986-1987 Rage For Order Era section today - the last show from the Rage tour, Feb. 21, 1987 at L'Amour Far East in Commack, L.I., N.Y. I've had this date unpublished for awhile until I could confirm it with an attendee. It's now as official.
July 19, 2007: Added a couple ticket stub scans from the May 25 and May 29, 1991 shows to the Empire-era (1990-1992) section. Also added a bunch of promotional ad scans from the 1986-1987 through 1994-1995 eras. Look for them under "Misc. Scans" in each section.
July 1, 2007: Today I uploaded a ticket stub scan from the band's Nov. 8, 1991 performance, and a scan of an advertisement promoting Queensryche's 206 Records EP. I also added some photos of Whip, Chris, Scott, Geoff, and Ed from the Promised Land photo shoot sessions in the 1994-1995 section.
June 30, 2007: Added the set list from Queensryche's Nov. 29, 1984 performance in Binghamton, N.Y. ("upstate N.Y." for all you non-New Yorkers out there).
June 25, 2007: Updated the site with some more ticket stub scans over the past month, included two from the Promised Land tour - May 20, 1995 and April 30, 1995.
I know updates have been fairly infrequent, but as most of the regular message board members know, this isn't a "latest news" site on Queensryche. It's essentially a complete retrospective of the original lineup's history. I DO plan on adding new content such as those long-awaited easter egg pages, audio clips, etc., etc., but since 95 percent of the site's basic structure is complete, those bigger additions will come more slowly.
No worries, this site is, and WILL ALWAYS BE active. The magic that Queensryche's original lineup had together is too significant for this site to ever go away. For those of you wanting your news fix on recent QR happenings, join The Breakdown Room message board. We talk all eras of Queensryche there, and you won't find a more intelligent group of rock fans around...take hold!
May 25, 2007: Added ticket stub scans for the August 4, 1984 gig in Tokyo and the October 25, 1984 show supporting Dio in Germany. In addition, a new tour date was added to the 1981-1983 section - Sept. 16, 1983 in Dallas, Texas. Thanks to JP for the scans and info!
I also uploaded the information on Soulbender, Michael Wilton's side band, to the Side-Solo section.
May 7, 2007: Updated the various eras' tour archives today with a number of ticket stub scans and photos. Thanks to JP and Dark Lord Trading for the materials.
April 22, 2007: Promised Land and Hear in the Now Frontier Era articles are now posted to their respective sections. Get reading!
April 18, 2007: Can you hear it calling? Empire-era article scans are now up in the 1990-1992 section. I still have to post the new band photos (some great shots) from this era, but there are so many new article scans, it'll take you forever to get down that far anyway, so I have some time. ;-)
April 16, 2007: Today I updated the 1988-1989 section that details Queensr˙che's Operation: Mindcrime era. Tons of new article scans, photos, and promotional items. Enjoy, and be on the lookout for the Empire-era material next week!
April 13, 2007: For all of you Rage for Order lovers out there, visit the 1986-1987 section for various new photos, articles, and scans. Enjoy!
April 12, 2007: Added some new EP and The Warning-era scans today. Check out the appropriate sections to read the articles.
April 7, 2007: Greetings fellow Rycheans, and happy early Easter to those that celebrate the holiday. This update is probably not what you've been waiting for (the big haul of article scans being posted), but hopefully you'll have found it cool. If you haven't noticed already, the "Speak the Word" and "Info Saturation" sections have gotten a bit of a graphic splash on the Index page, utilizing the HITNF-era ear and PL-era nailhead, respectively. Those sections are now enhanced with the sites and forums that AnybodyListening.net supports. Check 'em out!
And yes, the scans are coming. I'm finishing up the very last ones this weekend, so hopefully I'll have all the scans (300+ folks) up by the end of the month.
March 29, 2007: It has been awhile since my last update and with good reason - I've been a scanning madman for three weeks. Counting tonight, I have scanned more than 165 pages of magazine and newspaper articles, with more on the way. None of these are posted yet, but they will be soon.
In addition, I plan on finishing up the final touches to the index page, just a few minor tweaks to make the front page a bit more engaging. Completion of the Side/Solo Projects section is also on the agenda, but frankly, that will probably come last, as I'm just not as motivated as I am with the actual Queensryche material.
March 2, 2007: Another small update to the Side/Solo Projects section today. I added information on Spys4Darwin, the band Chris DeGarmo helped form in 2000/2001 with the rhythm section of Alice in Chains and singer Vin Dombrowski.
February 25, 2007: I continued on the Side/Solo Projects section today. I added information on Scott Rockenfield's other band, Slave to the System, including two exclusive articles written by yours truly, and all of the band's tour date info (including set lists) through 2006.
February 24, 2007: I started work on the Side/Solo Projects section today. So far, I've only updated the info for Geoff Tate's solo work in 2001-2002, but the rest of the info will be forthcoming.
In addition, I added a cool javascript feature to the Index page. Go back and refresh a few times to see. Enjoy!
February 22, 2007: Today's update consists of a new Rage for Order tour date (10/6/86), and multiple flyer and set list scans from AnybodyListening.net supporter Thomas Brogli. Thank you Thomas! Thomas supplied a setlist scan for QR's 10/21/83 show, and promotional flyers from the band's tours in Japan from both 1991 and 1995. The capper was the new Rage tour date, complete with a promotional flyer. Go give it a look!
February 20, 2007: Thanks to a generous donation from Helder C., I've uploaded a number of article scans from the Mindcrime, Empire, and Hear in the Now Frontier eras. Just make sure to ahve a translator handy... ;-)
I also corrected a date in the 1981-1983 section. The show that was previously listed as Oct. 23, 1983 was actually Nov. 4, 1983 in Toronto, Canada. That has been adjusted, along with a ticket stub.
February 18, 2007: The last "basic" page was uploaded tonight - the 1988-1989 Operation: Mindcrime Era section. It includes a number of article scans, information on releases, band photos and of course, the tour information.
More to come soon!
February 17, 2007: Damn I'm tired. Just finished the basic 1990-1992 (Empire) era page tonight, complete with a ton of article scans. Next up is Mindcrime, and then some goodies! Stay tuned, and Take Hold!
February 12, 2007: Added a few more Promised Land Era articles I found on the hard drive. Enjoy! Next weekend, we finish up the Mindcrime and Empire basic pages - then on to some subsections such as solo bands, easter egg pages, and of course, audio/video...
February 11, 2007: As promised, another update today. I uploaded the 1994-1995 section that covers the band's Promised Land years. A TON of magazine article scans in this! Read up and enjoy!
February 10, 2007: Good evening fellow Rycheans...tonight's update was the 1996-1997 section - the Hear in the Now Frontier Era. As I've been saying, just the basic page is up - album details, promo photos, and some article scans. Happy reading! More tomorrow!
February 3, 2007: How's this for a quick update? Pounded out the shell for the 2002-2003 section this morning. Please remember, these are just the BASIC pages. I am going to be adding so much more material once the site's basic pages are up and running. For the 2002-2003 section, I posted an article scan, my personal interview with Michael Wilton, and tons of promotional photos for the Tribe album. Enjoy.
February 2, 2007: FINALLY. My major project that was sapping my time from this Web site is finally over. To celebrate, I put up the basic Alternate Lineups page up, including all the tour dates from 1998-2005. I should note, I am not collecting any more tour information from the non-original lineup shows. This site is devoted to the original lineup, because that is, in essence, the band that wrote and played that material. The post-Degarmo material is now up for the fans that requested it. I'll be continuing to add pages to the Alt. Lineups section to cover releases by the band, and any changes in the lineup, but I will not be covering the tour information on the site, only on The Breakdown Room discussion forums. Now if the band reunites with DeGarmo, now THAT is a different story...
Anyway, as I said, the "Alt. Lineups" section is now online. I still have more to add, but a good chunk of info is now available. Eventually, I'll be uploading all the studio photos with Tate, Slater, Stone, Moore, and of course, Ronnie James Dio. Next up is the 2002-2003 section. I have a huge amount of promotional photos for that, along with one of the only articles that the entire band (with DeGarmo) did for Tribe. Stay tuned!
December 7, 2006: Updated the "1986-1987" Rage for Order section today with article scans, details on the album, and some promotional photos. As I've mentioned on AnybodyListening.net's discussion forum, The Breakdown Room, these updates are just a small taste of what's to come. I'm currently re-archiving my entire live collection of the band. I'm more than halfway through, and should be done no later than the end of January 2007.
Once that is completed, this site is going to be my sole focus. I'll be adding audio and video clips from individual shows, more article scans, further information and commentary on each Queensr˙che era, other bands connected with Queensr˙che such as Myth, and a whole lot more. Stay tuned, as 2007 should be a great year for AnybodyListening.net and Queensr˙che!
December 1, 2006: Just a small update tonight. I finally got around to adding the site's info/credits/disclaimer, etc., etc., page. It's pretty low-key, although anyone getting exploratory with their mouse should find it on the main page.
November 25, 2006: Today (last night) I added promo photos and release info to the Warning era section. Included with that are my own personal album/release notes. Enjoy! Next up...Rage for Order.
November 21, 2006: I know it's been almost three weeks, but cut a guy some slack - I was moving! Site updates should be a bit more frequent now, as I split time between the site and my QR audio reburn project (which will ultimately benefit this site via short clips from various QR gigs over the years). Ok, added some article scans from the Warning Era today. Album info and photos to follow in the next update.
November 1, 2006: Thanks to Kory P., we now have uploaded a ticket stub from QR's 12-4-84 show in St. Louis, Mo., and a host of photos from a special in-store appearance and meet and greet on 12-3-84. In addition, a ticket stub was also added from the band's 8-9-86 appearance in Tucson, Ariz.
October 29, 2006: Since I finally settled on a look for the site, I was able to work on the 1981-1983 content section today. Added the details on the EP, a promo photo, an article, and the three dates that I know of that The Mob performed with Geoff Tate.
October 22, 2006: This weekend I changed the index page a bit, finally settling on a design. Hope folks like it. I also added some information on a few live shows. Next up will be adding a variety of promo photos from each era, and working on the individual pages for each QR release.
October 18, 2006: Just got back from seeing the current Queensr˙che lineup (featuring Mike Stone on second guitar) in the band's hometown of Seattle. So, fresh off the energy, I updated the site with a bunch of new concert posters, ticket stubs, and altered dates. Changed dates and additions were in the Mindcrime, Empire, Promised Land, and Hear in the Now Frontier tour years.
October 7, 2006: Put the initial site online. To all reading, AnybodyListening.net is FAR from done, and VERY under construction. Check back soon for updates.
